Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef de Partie (CDP) to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and cooking, with a strong background in kitchen and culinary experience. As a CDP, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety while contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.

Duties

Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and standards. Assist in the planning and execution of menus, ensuring creativity and seasonal relevance. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Monitor stock levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to the head chef. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment. Participate in menu tastings and contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements to existing offerings.

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment. Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices to ensure compliance in the kitchen. Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, demonstrating an ability to work under pressure. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also taking initiative when required.
