We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and preparation, with a flair for creativity and excellence in the kitchen. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality, and leading a team of kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
Duties
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and quality in all dishes served.
Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
Train and mentor kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and presentation standards.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to maintain efficient kitchen operations.
Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good working order and report any issues promptly.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role, preferably within a restaurant setting.
Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
Extensive knowledge of food production techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
A passion for culinary arts with creativity in menu development and dish presentation.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
