Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef de Partie (CDP) to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a CDP, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the kitchen, contributing to meal preparation, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.

Duties

Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu and standards. Assist in the planning and execution of daily menus, ensuring all meals are prepared on time. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and effective communication. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Help train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive learning environment. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or similar culinary environment. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, meal preparation, and presentation. Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in the kitchen. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the restaurant's operational needs.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 48 per week
