Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head Chef in the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that high standards of food production and presentation are maintained. This position requires strong leadership skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Duties

Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow. Oversee food production processes to maintain quality and consistency. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area.

Skills

Strong background in hospitality with a passion for culinary arts. Proven experience in food production within a restaurant setting. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Proficient in supervising kitchen operations and ensuring high standards of food preparation. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen management. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude. Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines is advantageous.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21-16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 35 per week
