Job Description

Menter Fachwen supports adults with learning disabilities in Cwm y Glo, Llanberis, Deiniolen and Fachwen in Day and Work opportunities. We are seeking an individual to fill a crucial role within the charity, overseeing its administrative functions and coordinating the community Hwb.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of our administrative functions, handling administrative tasks, and supporting our staff and beneficiaries effectively.

Additionally, the person will assume a pivotal role in the development of the Hwb at Cwm y Glo and at other sites, serving as its representative. You will have experience and a genuine interest in partnership working to develop sessions and services that meet the needs of our community, while also providing new work-based training and opportunities for our charity beneficiaries in running the Hwb via catering and hospitality, workshops, marketing and providing services such as IT and online assistance etc. You will work with a broad range of resources, which will also involve recruiting volunteers from the community to deliver projects that effect change for themselves, the charity and others in the community.

You will contribute to the safe and supportive culture of Menter Fachwen, ensuring our charity objects and key aims are integral to all our developments and providing new opportunities for the charity beneficiaries.

Tasks may include:

Overseeing daily operations related to charitable activities and Hwb administration. Serving as the primary contact for enquiries via telephone, email and in person. Communicating effectively with staff, clients, and external stakeholders Maintaining up-to-date person-centred planning files and beneficiary-related documentation. Attending Board meetings when requested, preparing minutes, and distributing papers. Assisting with the review of company policies and risk assessments. Maintaining staff files, related documentation and the staff database. Assisting in the organisation and scheduling of staff training sessions, ensuring all training requirements are met and maintaining the staff training matrix. Maintaining staff and beneficiary rotas and arranging staff coverage during absences. Developing, organising, and promoting a comprehensive schedule of well-being activities at the Hwb. Working with charity support workers to ensure opportunities are developed for charity beneficiaries to gain experience and explore new work-based opportunities in the running of the Hwb and delivery of activities. Developing and implementing strategies to boost community engagement, diversify activities, and increase room bookings. Ensuring referrals to other organisations are available and that services, if required, have a presence at the Hwb. Representing the organisation at relevant regional meetings. Leading engagement to gather feedback and showcase successes. Assisting in the preparation of case studies in a predefined format. Monitoring and evaluating programme impact and creating data-driven reports highlighting Hwb's value and achievements. Promoting Menter Fachwen and building relationships to enhance visibility, support, and volunteer opportunities within the charity and community. Maintaining relevant sections of the new website to promote the Hwb. Ensuring that charity safeguarding policies and procedures, along with related policies, are followed at all times.
We are a Bilingual organisation and the ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh and English is essential for this role.

Schedule - Monday to Friday. 35 working hours on site. Some calls regarding staff absences might need to be handled outside of regular working hours.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 25,000.00-27,000.00 per year
