Leonardo Centre on Business for Society (one of the research centres in the Business School) is growing rapidly and needs extra support. Therefore, we are looking for a part-time (0.5FTE) Centre Administrator. This role is offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract, with an opportunity to change into a full-time, permanent position. This is an excellent opportunity to obtain experience working in the research centre, collaborating with business partners to create positive social and environmental impact.
Providing secretarial and administrative support to the staff of the Centre to support them in fulfilling their research, working closely with the Centre Coordinator and Communications Manager.
Providing Executive Assistant support to the Scientific and Executive Directors of the Centre.
Supporting Centre Coordinator with the HR recruitment process.
Providing finance services for the Centre to support the smooth running of the Centre and its research activities.
Assisting in planning conferences and seminars for the Leonardo Centre.
Assisting in organising internal and external meetings and visits, such as Advisory Board meetings and other events, drawing up itineraries, booking venues, arranging audio-visual equipment, catering and hospitality.
Supporting the Communications Manager in delivering communications support when required.
What we are looking for
---------------------------
Educated to a minimum of A level standard or equivalent.
Administration experience, ideally in the Higher Education Sector.
Experience of standard finance procedures, including raising Purchase Orders, processing invoices and expenses.
Experience of dealing with a variety of professionals and staff at all levels.
A sound working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
Experience of event management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to deal with a wide range of people, at all levels, with confidence.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of private and/or sensitive information.

This is a Part Time (17.5 hours a week) and Fixed term contract initially for 12-month based at South Kensington Campus.
