Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Centre Lathe Turner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining centre lathes to produce precision components. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a successful engineering company.
Duties:
- Operate and set up centre lathes to produce components according to engineering drawings
- Demonstrate mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues with machinery
- Work with hand tools to ensure efficient production processes
- Handle materials effectively, including cutting, shaping, and fabricating metal parts
- Maintain tooling and equipment in good working condition
Skills:
- Proficient in operating manual centre lathes and other machining equipment
- Understanding of technical drawings for production
- Strong mechanical knowledge to understand machinery functions and troubleshoot problems
- Competent in using hand tools for precision work
- Skilled in materials handling techniques for various metal types
- Capable of fabricating components to precise specifications
