Transvac are world leaders in providing custom designed Ejector systems for the process industries. Having supplied thousands of Ejectors, Transvac have over 50 years' experience, backed by a comprehensive list of world-wide references in a wide range of process industries - including oil & gas, water, chemical, nuclear, food and pharmaceuticals.

As both a designer and a manufacturer, Transvac have full control over process and mechanical design, supply of raw materials, manufacturing, scheduling and testing. With all procedures certified to BS EN ISO 9001:2015, accreditation to Module H of the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) and CE marking, where appropriate, the quality of the final product is assured. Transvac are also 1st Point Assessment and Achilles registered.

Our busy workshop team needs a manual/CNC Centre Lathe Turner to carry out a variety of key tasks. Being multi skilled, he/she will have experience of internal taper tuning of medium lathe size.

Responsibilities and requirements:

Ideally apprentice trained Responsible for performing operational functions on a variety of CNC Machining Lathes / Millers and or manual machines. Skilled use of CNC, XYZ & Fanuc controls would be an advantage Conversant with engineering drawing practice Setting / operating and manufacturing a variety of components to tight tolerances Ability to deliver products to deadlines Use a wide range of measuring equipment to check components during manufacture To monitor tool wear, adjust offsets and replace inserts when necessary, ensuring correct operation of the machine at all times Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to Health and Safety procedures and policies Demonstrate good housekeeping practices Proactively identify and make recommendation for improvements
The working hours are 06:55 - 15:25 Monday to Thursday and 06:55 - 12:55 on Fridays.

If overtime is required, it is paid at the following rates:

Hourly Rate + 1/2 for Monday to Saturday Double Rate for Sundays
