About the Role:
We are seeking an organised, compassionate and driven
Centre Manager
to lead operations at our Oldham site. You'll manage the day-to-day running of the centre, lead a team of dedicated staff, ensure a high standard of care and compliance, and serve as a key contact for parents and local professionals.
This is a
hands-on, people-first role
that requires energy, empathy and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the Oldham centre (after-school and holiday provision)
Lead and support a team of childcare practitioners and support staff
Ensure compliance with Ofsted and safeguarding standards
Manage rotas, registers, staff deployment and site logistics
Liaise with parents, schools, and external professionals
Monitor and report on attendance, staff performance, and child outcomes
Support enrolment, onboarding and new family integration
Help promote the service and represent Redbrick locally
Who This Role is For:
This role is ideal for someone with experience in
education, youth work, community projects or children's services
. You may have previously worked as a:
Youth or Family Support Worker
Community Project Manager
Deputy Manager in a childcare setting
Pastoral Lead or Safeguarding Officer
Primary School Teacher or HLTA with leadership experience
You do
not
need to have Early Years qualifications, but a
strong understanding of safeguarding, team leadership and working with families
is essential.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proven experience managing a team or service
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills - able to work with children, staff and parents
Confident in using email, digital systems and basic reporting tools
Level 3 or higher qualification in childcare, teaching, youth work or equivalent experience
Paediatric First Aid, or willingness to obtain
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)
Desirable (but not essential):
Knowledge of Ofsted requirements
Experience in school or out-of-school settings
Experience working with children with additional needs
