As part of the company's ongoing expansion (Organic and via M&A) coupled with succession planning for the forthcoming exit of the founder, FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of a CEO / Managing Director to join the business at this exciting time
This CEO / Manging Director role marks a key step in the Groups evolution, as the job role holder will take over the day to day management responsibilities of the founder of the business, and translate their strategy into execution, building team accountability, and co-ordinating our shift to employee ownership.
Whilst the business aim to be a profitable company and provide shareholder returns, the mission is the be a people first business and ensure highest standards of care are offered within their own homes but also drive improvement improve in standards of care across our industry.
The MD will act as a close partner to the Founder ensuring that strategic plans are turned into focused plans, and that the business runs smoothly, healthily, and with discipline.
Job Purpose
As the leading member of the SLT you will be accountable for owning and driving the achievement of the companies Two year plan by acting as the Integrator role by driving focus, priorities, accountability and the leadership.
Co-ordinating and delivering the transition of the ownership of the group to an Employee Ownership Trust within 1 year
Job Overview
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement the organization"s vision, mission, and strategic plan to ensure future sustainability and growth.
Financial Management:
Oversee budgets, financial reporting, and the development of revenue-generating activities to ensure the financial health of the care home.
Operational Oversight:
Ensure the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and cost-effective care services that meet regulatory standards and service user needs.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with staff, residents, families, funders, commissioners, and regulatory bodies to promote the organization"s reputation and secure partnerships.
Governance and Board Interaction:
Work closely with the board of directors, providing them with comprehensive performance updates and ensuring the organization adheres to its strategic commitments.
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead and motivate the executive team and staff, fostering a collaborative culture and implementing strategies for professional development and performance management.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Strategic leader and ideally have previously operated with a Manging Director or CEO Capacity
Given the need for strong financial management, Fundraising and M&A this could also be a ideal position for those operating as Finance Director / CFO wishing to take a step into a wider leadership position.
Previous experience or knowledge Employee Ownership Trusts is again desirable but not essential
Experience gained within Healthcare, Education or other Service Sector led industries is desirable but not essential as long as the ability to transfer the experience into the sector can be demonstrated
In return this position can offer a basic salary of up to 160,000 coupled with:
Bonus - 20% of salary based on the achievement of the above objectives. This bonus will be paid quarterly
Growth Shares - Eligible for growth shares in the Group
Pension - Eligible for NEST Pension Scheme. The Business contributing 3% (Employers Contribution)
