Your new role
As our new CFD Engineer, you will deliver advanced simulation services that help clients solve complex fluid dynamics and multi-physics challenges, contributing to more innovative and sustainable design solutions across industries such as AEC, Wind Engineering, Energy, Pharmaceuticals, Industry and Manufacturing.. You will be part of our Advanced Simulations department, a dynamic, collaborative, and cross-disciplinary team known for technical excellence, creative problem-solving, and strong support for personal and professional development.
Your key responsibilities will be:
Scope and plan CFD modelling tasks based on client needs and project requirements.
Set up and run CFD simulations, including pre-processing, meshing, solving, and post-processing.

Analyse simulation results and translate them into clear, actionable insights.
Prepare high-quality technical reports and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.
Work independently while coordinating closely with team members, project managers, and clients.
Support sales and bidding activities by contributing to proposals and technical input.
Help maintain and develop CFD tools, workflows, and methodologies for improved efficiency and accuracy.
Share knowledge and support colleagues across different Ramboll departments and markets.
About you
Master's degree in engineering, or a similar field, with focus on fluid-dynamics and numerical simulation (CFD)
Up to 5-years of relevant experience with commercial and/or open source CFD codes (ideally Engys Helyx, OpenFOAM and Star-CCM+). Candidates with proven knowledge in one of the following focus areas are encouraged irrespective of the professional experience: AEC, Computational Wind Engineering, Air Quality and Pollutant Dispersion, HVAC.
Ability to plan and perform quality work within deadlines.
Confident using CAD tools, ideally Rhino.
