Position Overview

:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled MIG Welder to join our team. As a Chain Cell Welder at Redler, you will play a vital role in the production of our chain products that will involve
welding batches of Mild Steel 'flights' to forged Links (large variations of flights and link sizes). You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge equipment and contribute to the success of our Production Operations.

The Role:

Batch work MIG welding. Large variation of configurations of parts. Working at a downdraft fume extraction bench, clamping parts into a Jig and MIG welding mild steel flights to a drop forged chain link to a consistently high standard and volume using State of the art pulse synergic, water-cooled MIG welding plant and a downdraft fume extraction bench.

All Welds are subject to a Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) and will require in house testing and subsequent/annual Welder Approval Certification to the WPS.

To produce consistently high-quality welding of flights to chain links in line with our welding procedures. To perform 1st off inspections on each batch. To work to daily/weekly targets and improve cycle times where possible. Comply with company H&S and quality systems. Attend Cell meetings. Any other reasonable duties requested by the Cell leader or Production Manager.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Qualification in MIG Welding. Proven experience as a MIG Welder, preferably in a mechanical or industrial setting. Attention to detail and consistency of welds. Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings in line with works instructions/configurations and standards. Ability to work within a Production Cell/Team that manages a demanding schedule. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
