Senior Change Manager (Project Controls)

Hybrid working - 2 days a week on site in Bedford

The Role

This is an opportunity to be part of the delivery of a Major Infrastructure Project.

This project will improve customers journey time reliability and open up new economic opportunities both locally and nationally.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating the change control process at programme level.
  • Managing proposed changes so that they are assessed for scope, schedule, cost, risk impact.
  • Driving timely approval/rejection of proposals.
  • Maintaining a log of change.
  • Providing programme-specific single-point responsibility and accountability for the implementation, operation and maintenance of fit-for-purpose change control system.
  • Managing the change process so that scope, schedule and cost baselines are accurately maintained and completely integrated across the overall programme baseline.
  • Supporting in the development of change control systems.
  • Providing direction and guidance to assigned programme and project teams in accordance with programme and procedures.
  • Guiding the change control, cost/funds management and reporting activities related to programme and project planning and baseline management.
  • Supporting the schedule development lead in ensuring all agreed changes to the programme baseline are incorporated prior to each reporting cycle.
  • Monitoring reviewing and reporting to the programme controls lead on quality of change proposals submitted for inclusion in the baseline.
  • Issuing guidance/corrective actions to project controls team in order to improve quality of change control information and monthly performance reports, cost management reports, estimates at completion and funds management reports.
  • Ensuring that all planned activities and costs are correctly attributed to the work breakdown structure (WBS).
  • Providing advice, training and guidance to assigned project controls staff.
  • Providing feedback on change control programme effectiveness as part of a continuous improvement process.
  • Training project teams in the use of appropriate procedures and software systems.
About you

Minimum 5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a similar position using change management processes and toolsets.

A background of working with large organisations in their global change and delivery projects environment.

Experience working as Project Controls Manager - an advocate, in word, thought and deed, of robust governance.
