Project Controls Reporting Manager

Role outline:

The Reporting Manager will work either within the central Programme Management Office (PMO) or one of the delivery teams, on behalf of the Programme Partner, liaising with a variety of stakeholders across the programme, reporting to the Reporting Lead or a Project Controls Manager.

Due to the strict security requirements, candidates must be a UK National and will need to progress through security clearance.

Responsibilities:

Working within an integrated project delivery team environment, or within the project controls core team.

Providing process and technical support to assist in the management of the full project budget and scope or WBS.

Standalone accountability for reporting delivery on small to medium sized projects, or as part of a team within a large project.

Supporting the project manager and/or the planning, cost, risk and change manager in terms of reporting.

Liaising with other parts of the programme and in particular the project controls department and the construction, commercial and finance departments.

Recommends continual improvements and potential future developments to client where appropriate and supports recommendations with expert knowledge and experience.

Technical competencies:

As a reporting and performance management specialist, stays up to date with key industry / professional trends.

In depth knowledge of tools & software used for reporting.

Able to provide effective & timely advice to clients.

Understanding of data management.

Knowledge of change and baseline management.

Excellent attention to detail & able to validate & check inputs, recording & reports produced, providing basic commentary & analysis.

Qualifications & experience:

Proven relevant experience in project management or project controls environment in a similar cost role in a construction or consultancy background.

Experience in reporting management.
