BMI UK&I have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Channel Sales Manager - Pitched to join our team. Reporting to the Regional Sales Director, this role is home based but will require travel around South Wales and West Midlands.




Role Summary





This is a progressive, data-driven role where you'll be responsible for driving specific business performance in target markets by effectively utilising all available channels and levers.



As a Channel Sales Manager, you'll be instrumental in driving our growth within the RMI market and beyond. Your main responsibilities will include:

Conducting a minimum of 16 merchant visits per week, focusing on A-C customer segments to identify and capitalise on incremental growth opportunities. Proactively engaging with national and regional house builders at their offices to secure specifications and create significant value, with a particular focus on Klober house builder specifications (both specified and non-specified projects). Collaborating closely with contractors and installers to ensure successful project specifications are delivered. Taking a proactive approach to business development, identifying and pursuing new avenues for growth. Effectively managing forecasts and demand planning to align with business objectives. Executing portfolio strategies within your target markets to achieve desired outcomes. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activity within our C4C system.

Sales & Negotiation Expertise:



Strategic Selling: Ability to develop and execute complex sales strategies tailored to different customer segments (A-C Merchants, National/Regional House Builders, Contractors/Installers). Negotiation: Skill in negotiating favorable terms and agreements with partners, house builders, and contractors to secure projects and maximise value. Closing Skills: Proven track record of converting leads and opportunities into successful sales. New Business Development: Aptitude for identifying and securing new accounts and market opportunities.

Relationship Management:



Partner Relationship Management (PRM): Building and nurturing strong, long-term relationships with channel partners (merchants, house builders) based on trust and mutual benefit. Stakeholder Management: Effectively managing relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

Commercial Acumen

:

Market Analysis: Deep understanding of the UK RMI and house builder markets, including trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs. Financial Literacy: Ability to understand pricing models, profitability, and the financial implications of proposals. Forecasting & Planning: Skill in accurate sales forecasting and demand management.

Data Analysis & Digital Literacy:



Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to interpret sales data, market trends, and performance metrics to identify opportunities and optimise strategies. CRM Proficiency (C4C): Expert use of CRM systems for activity tracking, pipeline management, and reporting.

Product Knowledge:



Technical Understanding: Sufficient knowledge of Klober products (or similar building materials) to effectively articulate their value proposition to technical and non-technical audiences.

Problem-Solving: Aptitude for identifying challenges within the channel and developing effective solutions. Time Management & Organisation: Ability to manage a demanding schedule of visits, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records efficiently.
