Job Description

Are you a qualified accountant who thrives in values-led environments? We're recruiting on behalf of a respected independent advocacy charity seeking an experienced

Accountant (CCAB qualified)

to lead financial operations and play a pivotal role in organisational strategy.

You'll be responsible for all aspects of finance, from day-to-day bookkeeping and payroll, to producing annual budgets, statutory accounts, and funding reports. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you'll help drive strategic decisions and ensure financial governance across the charity. You'll also line-manage a Support Officer and contribute to IT and governance oversight.

Ethical and Responsible

- Committed to integrity, accountability, and delivering to high standards.

Proactive and Flexible

- Able to adapt to changing priorities and contribute across business areas when needed.

Experience in the not-for-profit or public sector is highly desirable, particularly involving funding bids, contracts, or commissioner reporting. A working knowledge of payroll systems, year-end audit preparation, and charity governance processes would be a strong advantage.
