Country Hill Animal Shelter is a local charity dedicated to helping all cats in need - we take in, care for, rehabilitate and ultimately re-home as many cats as we can.
Some cats need our help because they have been badly treated or abandoned, but sometimes changes in an owners life can mean having to re-home a much loved pet through no fault of their own. We give them any necessary veterinary treatment (neutering, vaccinations, worm and flea treatment and identification chips) and board them until we can find them a safe, happy new home.
We rely on generosity and support from our local communities, donations and funds from our own charity shops.

We are currently seeking a Charity Shop Assistant to join our team in Dartmouth both in our Dartmouth Shop and our Dartmouth Furniture Emporium.

The ideal candidate will be friendly, reliable, approachable, forward thinking and self driven. You must be a strong team player, stocking products in the shops, sorting through and organising donations, assisting customers with queries and sales, and work alongside our 2 other outlets while keeping in communication with the Shop Manager and Shop Assistants.

Duties:

- Keeping a tidy and safe shop

- Assisting customers and boosting sales

- Having a positive, can-do, and open minded attitude

- Coordinating our delivery/collection van for our furniture Emporium along with the rest of the team

- Handle products with care

- Stock shelves and keep track of requests

Requirements:

- Previous experience in a retail environment is preferred

- Hard working and flexible on tasks

- Strong communication and team work mentality

- Competent in using and till and handling money

- Desire to care for and work hard for animals in need

- Physically fit to engage in lifting tasks

- Must drive or be able to get to our 2 outlets in Dartmouth, we cannot provide parking

- Pat Testing Qualification a bonus
