Job title: Charles River Consultant
We are looking for a skilled Charles River Consultant for a future role to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of trade workflows, regulatory compliance, and system integration. This role will interface with front, middle, and back-office teams to drive enhancements across OMS, EMS, and related modules, ensuring alignment with regulatory frameworks such as MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, EMIR, FATCA, and SEC compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, customization, and integration of Charles River IMS, including Order Management (OMS) and Execution Management (EMS) systems.
Configure and optimize Charles River workflows for various asset classes including Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, and FX.
Integrate Charles River with external/internal systems using Charles River APIs, ETL, XML, XSLT, Informatica, and MuleSoft.
Collaborate with compliance and risk teams to implement and monitor trade compliance and risk monitoring rules aligned with global regulatory requirements.
Support regulatory reporting and controls for MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, EMIR, FATCA, and SEC regulations.
Develop and maintain dashboards and performance reports using Tableau and other BI tools.
Facilitate client workshops, requirement gathering, and documentation of functional and technical specifications.
Provide guidance on Charles River Data Integration strategy to support seamless trade flow and data governance.
Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and support post-implementation activities.
Advise clients on best practices and roadmap planning for future upgrades or enhancements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
7+ years of experience with Charles River IMS, particularly in OMS, EMS, compliance, and data integration areas.
Deep understanding of financial instruments including Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, and FX.
Strong experience in XML, XSLT, ETL, and integration frameworks such as MuleSoft and Informatica.
Familiarity with Charles River APIs, data structures, and messaging workflows.
Solid grasp of regulatory frameworks: MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, FATCA, EMIR, and SEC compliance.
Proven experience with compliance and risk monitoring configuration within CRD.
Ability to develop visual dashboards using Tableau or similar BI tools.
Strong client-facing skills with the ability to lead meetings, workshops, and implementation projects.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
Charles River Certification (functional or technical tracks)
Experience working in a consulting environment or vendor-side delivery
Background in asset management, hedge funds, or investment banking
Exposure to cloud-based CRD deployments
