About the role



CHASE is the Consortium for the Humanities and the Arts, South East England, and our AHRC Doctoral Training Partnership supports postgraduate research (PGR) in the arts and humanities at Birkbeck, The Courtauld Institute of Art, Goldsmiths, SOAS, and the Universities of East Anglia, Essex, Kent and Sussex.

As the Senior EDI Officer, you will build on and develop our previous work on Equality Diversity and Inclusion activities for the DTP across its member institutions and PGR communities. You will work closely with CHASE team members, EDI specialists, and administrative colleagues across the consortium member institutions. You will coordinate and consolidate EDI best practice relating to Postgraduate Research, and design and carry out additional research where necessary.

About you



You will bring experience of EDI work in Higher Education contexts, and an up-to-date understanding of EDI good practice. You may also have experience of postgraduate research in an arts and humanities or social sciences field. Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills will enable you to work effectively with academic staff, doctoral researchers, and professional services colleagues across the consortium to achieve agreed objectives.
