Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper and Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food production and a strong understanding of food safety standards. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment, particularly within kitchen and food preparation areas as well as the Wedding Venue. The role will include helping in the kitchen on days of Weddings as well as helping to keep the venue clean. The role will also include housekeeping in the venue of cleaning and preparing rooms for guests.

Responsibilities

Working along side the head chef on days of weddings in the kitchen Housekeeping roles days prior and after wedding of cleaning the rooms of wedding guests. Perform thorough cleaning of kitchen areas, including food preparation surfaces, cooking equipment, and dining spaces. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a hygienic environment at all times. Supervise cleaning staff and manage daily cleaning schedules to ensure all tasks are completed on time. Assist in the training of new team members on proper cleaning techniques and safety protocols. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure that all areas are ready for service and meet health standards. Conduct regular inspections of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are well-stocked and in good condition. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.

Requirements

Previous experience in a cleaning role, preferably within a food production or hospitality environment. Supervising experience is highly desirable, with proven team management skills. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Experience in food preparation or culinary roles is an advantage. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Pay: 13.50-15.00 per hour
