a minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience
with traditional tandoor cooking and a strong understanding of Indian flavours. You will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining kitchen standards, and contributing to a lively and collaborative culinary environment.
Responsibilities
Operate and manage the
tandoor oven
(roti, naan, kebabs, tikka, stuffed parathas, etc.)
Prepare and cook dishes following authentic recipes and presentation standards
Ensure consistent food quality, taste, and timely service
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, adhering to all
food safety and hygiene standards
Support and train junior kitchen staff as needed
Assist in menu development and introduce seasonal or innovative items
Monitor stock levels and communicate supply needs to management
Maintain equipment and report any maintenance needs promptly
Work closely with the head chef and front-of-house team to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience
as a Tandoor Chef or in a similar Indian kitchen role
Skilled in tandoori preparation, grilling, marination, and cooking techniques
Strong knowledge of
Indian spices, chutneys, breads, and veg/egg-based dishes
Understanding of
food safety regulations
and kitchen hygiene protocols
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Team player with good communication and multitasking skills
Passion for Indian cuisine and commitment to exceptional food quality
