CHEF
Pay and Benefits;
You will get paid a daily rate according to your rank and qualifications, once you have completed your initial recruit training. You can recieve an annual bonus payment if you complete all your training commitments in your spare time. In addition, you may be entitled to travel expenses, access to a free on site gym, discounted rail fares and an Army Service Pension.
Bonus

Responsibilities and Duties;
Chef Trade

Feeding an Army is a big job, but also a vital one. Our soldiers need solid meals to keep them going and that's where you come in. As an Army Chef you will provide healthy food wherever you are and whatever the conditions. You cook for everyone from new recruits to royalty; serving up tasty meals - even out in the field. You also learn about administration, finance and storage, as well as picking up qualifications and enjoying all aspects of Army life: exercise, ranges, sports, travel and great mates too. It's an amazing experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Feed soldiers around the world, from meals in the field to silver service dining for functions.
Work as part of a small team or as an individual, relied upon to deliver daily meals to your colleagues.
Learn to work under pressure, delivering meals with limited ingredients and equipment.
Gain experience in administration, finance, accounting, storage and distribution as well as catering skills.
Training for the Role of an Army Reserve Soldier;
After passing selection (which will include a full army medical) you will then move onto your Basic Training followed by your Trade Training.
Phase 1 - Soldier Training.
5 Weekends modular course
2 Week Residential Military Training Course (Battle camp)
Phase 2 - Trade Training.
Trade training you will do a 2 week (Residential)Chef Class 3 course.
(once trained we will also learn you to drive if you need your B licence).
Entry requirements;
AGE
: 17 years 9 months - 42 years 6 months (must be in basic training before 43rd Birthday)
FITNESS
: Must be able to complete 5.8 Bleep test(20m) also a seated ball throw and a mid thigh pull.
QUALIFICATIONS
: No formal educational qualifications are required
British Army Medical
NATIONALITY & RESIDENCY: Proof that you are a British Citizen. If you have Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) or Indefinite Leave to Enter (IIE) this must be stamped on your passport, and you must have been resident in the UK for a minimum of 5 years. All candidates who have a visa must provide proof of this throughout the recruiting process.
