Duties

Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu and standards. Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring that all team members are following recipes and safety protocols. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative techniques. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen operations. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Monitor food presentation and portion sizes to maintain quality control.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant environment. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary arts. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills to liaise with both kitchen and front-of-house teams. A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes is essential.
