We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to assist the Head Chef to lead our kitchen team 4 to 5 days per week in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and culinary arts, along with proven leadership skills to manage and inspire a diverse team. As Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation in the absence of the Head Chef.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
Oversee food preparation and production processes to ensure consistency and quality in all dishes.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high hygiene standards within the kitchen.
Train, supervise, and mentor kitchen staff to enhance their skills and performance.
Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Monitor kitchen performance metrics and implement improvements where necessary.
Skills
Proficient in food preparation techniques with a strong understanding of culinary principles.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead by example.
Strong supervisory skills to effectively oversee kitchen staff and operations.
