Momo & Co. operates two exciting models: a fast-casual dine-in restaurant and a quick-service takeaway. We specialize in authentic Himalayan cuisine, offering a vibrant menu of dumplings (momo), noodles, fried rice, and small plates. Our mission is to bring the bold, comforting flavors of the Himalayas to a modern, fast-paced setting--delivering high-quality food with speed, consistency, and heart. We're currently looking for a passionate and skilled Chef to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities:



Preparation & Cooking

: Prepare and cook all menu items, including noodles, fried rice, small plates, and sides. Ensure high standards of food quality and presentation, maintaining consistency with recipes and portion sizes. Manage kitchen prep, cooking times, and cleanliness to ensure fast service in a busy environment.

Menu Development

: Work with the team to create new dishes and refine the menu. Offer creative input for seasonal specials and promotions.

Kitchen Management

: Oversee food safety and cleanliness of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Maintain proper stock levels, ordering ingredients as needed to avoid shortages. Ensure kitchen equipment is maintained and clean, reporting any issues for timely repairs.

Team Collaboration

: Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations, especially during peak times. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff as needed, helping to maintain high standards.

Quality Control

: Monitor food preparation and cooking to ensure dishes are prepared to the highest standard. Regularly review and adjust recipes and presentation to keep the menu fresh and appealing.

Requirements:



Experience

: Minimum of 2 years' experience as a chef in a fast-paced kitchen, preferably in Himalayan, Indo-chinese or fusion cuisine. Knowledge of Himalayan or South Asian cuisine is an advantage.

Skills

: Ability to work efficiently and maintain high standards of food quality under pressure. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment. Strong attention to detail, with a focus on food presentation and consistency. Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.

Personality

: Passionate about food and delivering exceptional customer experiences. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a team player. Flexible and adaptable, willing to learn and grow with the business.
