Junior Chef

to join our dynamic kitchen team at our busy breakfast and brunch restaurant. As a Junior Chef, you will assist in preparing high-quality dishes, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and support the smooth running of the kitchen during peak service times. Key Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation and cooking of breakfast and brunch dishes to a high standard. Ensure all food is presented and served according to restaurant standards. Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following hygiene and food safety regulations at all times. Support senior chefs with mise en place (prepping ingredients, sauces, etc.). Receive and store kitchen deliveries safely and correctly. Work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods. Follow recipes and instructions accurately. Help with cleaning duties, including kitchen equipment and work surfaces. Contribute to a positive team environment and communicate effectively with all kitchen and front-of-house staff.

Requirements

Some previous kitchen experience preferred, but not essential - training will be provided. Genuine interest in food, cooking, and working in a professional kitchen. Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays as required. Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a willingness to learn. Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (Level 1 Food Hygiene Certificate desirable). Team player with good communication skills. Must be able to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.

Pay: 12.21-12.75 per hour
