Duties

Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment focused on skill development and quality output. Manage inventory levels within your section, including ordering supplies, controlling waste, and maintaining accurate stock records. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards to guarantee a safe dining environment for guests and staff alike. Collaborate with the head chef and management team on menu planning, special event catering, and seasonal updates to enhance guest satisfaction. Assist in training team members on food handling procedures, cooking techniques, and service protocols to uphold operational excellence.

Qualifications



Proven culinary experience in fine dining establishments or upscale restaurants with a strong background in food production and presentation. Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience within a busy kitchen environment. Experience working in banquet settings or large-scale catering operations is highly desirable. Knowledge of dietary requirements and ability to accommodate special dietary needs effectively. Strong skills in inventory management, food handling safety practices, and kitchen organization. Excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to lead a team under pressure during shift management. Familiarity with restaurant management principles including menu planning, food service management, and inventory control.
