We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and cooking, with experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our dishes are prepared to the highest standards, contributing to the overall dining experience of our guests.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Assist in meal preparation and presentation, maintaining consistency in quality and taste
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and communicate needs to the kitchen manager
Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols
Requirements
Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment
Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively within the kitchen team
Culinary qualifications or relevant training is advantageous but not essential
