We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with an emphasis on maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional meals to our guests while ensuring a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, including equipment and utensils
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service
Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management
Participate in menu planning and development as required
Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting colleagues during busy service periods
Requirements
Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting
Strong culinary skills with a focus on meal preparation and cooking techniques
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
Previous experience in serving or customer-facing roles is advantageous but not essential
