The kitchens at the Grand Hotel are a hive of chefs using their culinary flair to create appetising dishes for all our guests. As Pastry Demi Chef de Partie you will be a key team player in the kitchen, helping to ensure the effective running of the department.

What the role involves

Take responsibility for the preparation and presentation of all Pastry dishes in your allocated area, ensuring that all guests receive efficient service and high quality dishes Have a full awareness of the preparation and service of all dishes on the hotel menus Welcome and be receptive to individual customer requirements and ensure that these are satisfied in a friendly, helpful and efficient manner Be flexible to jump into any roll within the kitchen when needed Contribute to creating a warm and welcoming environment for our guests and colleagues

What you bring to the role

Experience working within a busy Pastry kitchen in a similar role is essential, and it would be advantageous for this to have been in a hotel kitchen. We are looking for someone with a real passion for food and the drive to succeed in a new role Outstanding hygiene skills are essential Certificate in elementary food hygiene would be desirable Due to the nature of the work, the ideal candidate would be fully flexible in their approach to work and be able to work shift patterns through weekdays and weekends
