Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment. You will work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure that all food is prepared according to our standards of excellence, while maintaining a clean and organised workspace. Your passion for food and commitment to food safety will contribute significantly to our guests' dining experience.

Duties

- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored after use.
- Follow food safety guidelines and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Help in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Participate in daily kitchen operations, including setting up workstations and assisting with meal service as needed.

Skills

- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a public house setting.
- Proficient in culinary techniques related to meal preparation and cooking.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen.
- Good communication skills to effectively interact with team members and management.
- A passion for cooking and a desire to learn new techniques and recipes.

Must have at least 2 years experience as a CDP

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 13.00-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
