We are seeking a skilled and passionate CDP to join our kitchen team for Baby bao at The pond in Brighton. We specialise in Bao and small plates which works perfectly alongside beer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a CDP, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional meals to our guests while working efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene practices. Assist in meal preparation and presentation, ensuring dishes are served promptly and attractively. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during peak hours. Monitor stock levels of ingredients and communicate needs to the kitchen manager. Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or culinary setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal presentation. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a busy kitchen environment. A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that delight guests.
