Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and cooking of various dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, assisting with stock rotation as needed.
Help in the development of new menu items by providing input on food preparation techniques and presentation.
Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
Previous experience in a culinary role or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential.
A strong understanding of food safety practices and kitchen hygiene.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
A genuine passion for cooking and meal preparation, with a willingness to learn new techniques.
