Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
Assist in the supervision of kitchen staff, providing guidance and support during food preparation and cooking processes.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including proper handling, cooking, and storage of food items.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Requirements
Proven experience as a chef in a restaurant or similar culinary environment, ideally with some knowledge of Italian cuisine .
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and kitchen operations.
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
Strong communication skills to facilitate teamwork within the kitchen.
A passion for cooking and an eagerness to learn new skills within the culinary field.
