Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of food safety practices. As a Chef de Partie, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall dining experience of our guests.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations. Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and cooking equipment. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of shortages. Participate in kitchen training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills. Understanding of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
We are a young and exciting team look to do big things in the Chew Valley. The menu is hyper seasonal and constantly changing. Rosette experience is not essential but we will be pushing for 2/3 as per the new Head Chefs Background. Our goal is to cook great food in a relaxed setting, using fantastic local produce. Our butcher is across the road from us using livestock from the Chew Valley and our fish supplier is is in Nailsea supplying the best restaurants in Bristol using fantastic Brixham catch.
