Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CDP to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a CDP, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety. You will work closely with other kitchen staff to create delicious dishes that delight our guests. This role would be perfect looking for some part time hours around current or other commitments.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to the restaurant's menu and specifications. Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and culinary standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including workstations, utensils, and equipment. Collaborate with fellow cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal service during busy periods. Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages as needed. Participate in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements to existing recipes. Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting is preferred, but not essential for enthusiastic candidates willing to learn. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills. Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
