We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals to our guests while maintaining food safety standards and ensuring an efficient kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meal service, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment
Ensure all food safety guidelines are followed to prevent contamination
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to the kitchen manager
Participate in menu planning and development when required
Support other kitchen staff as needed, including serving dishes during busy periods
Requirements
Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a restaurant setting
Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
