We are currently recruiting for the position of chef de partie to strengthen our kitchen team.
Garvock House Hotel is a 4 star, family run, boutique hotel in the heart of historic Dunfermline.
The restaurant is very popular with local residents and runs a set price menu highlighting fresh local produce. With a busy wedding and banqueting trade, we cater for small intimate private dining parties to larger events up to 150 covers. All food is made freshly on the premises and our team takes pride in the quality and presentation.
A unique opportunity for a talented chef who is dedicated to delivering great dining experiences. As Chef de Partie, you will be involved in all sections of the kitchen, helping to ensure the already high standards of quality and presentation.
Responsibilities
Working with senior chefs to prepare and execute dining menus. Preparing and cooking dishes ensuring consistency and adherence to recipes to maintain high standards of taste & presentation
Assist in the inventory managements including stock rotation and ordering
Ensure kitchen hygiene and safety standards are strictly followed
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Contribute to team meetings and menu development and innovation
Maintain a clean and organised work environment
Requirements
Proven experience as a chef de partie within a restaurant environment.
A passion for culinary excellence and a creative approach to cooking along with attention to detail
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in meal preparation.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration in the kitchen.
Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
A culinary qualification or relevant training
