We are seeking a dedicated junior cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals, ensuring that every dish meets our restaurant's standards for taste and presentation.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Collaborate with other kitchen team to ensure timely speed of service.
Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management.
Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Participate in menu planning and development as needed.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a cook or in a similar culinary role is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
