Chef De Partie - Rising Sun, Nether Green - an employee owned Abbeydale Brewery Gastropub

We are looking for one more experienced CDP to complete our kitchen team.

The Rising Sun is a thriving independent community Gastropub located in the S10 (Fulwood) area of Sheffield (just a short walk from Ecclesall Road) providing an excellent selection of craft beer + real ale alongside a creative, seasonal food menu that aims to showcase the best of local produce with both modern and classical techniques. It has been the Abbeydale Brewery (SIBA Business Awards Employer of the Year 2025) tap since 2005 and recently transitioned to Employee Ownership, which means the business is owned by, and operated for, the benefit of its employees. We believe in doing things the right way, so all our food is fresh and the vast majority locally sourced, including working with local allotment owners on a beer for produce scheme and other independent small businesses. The Rising Sun was awarded CAMRA Sheffield Pub of the Year 2022 and Pub of the Year Sheffield West 2023 and 2025.

We are looking to expand our current Chef team with the addition of a Chef De Partie. We are looking for a team player with excellent work ethic, communication and organisational skills, who loves working with fresh produce, is passionate about the food they prepare and wants to bring their own personal creativity to our menu. You will report to and assist the Head Chef in day to day food service and preparation, ensuring recipes are followed to maintain consistency and abiding by all Food Safety Management Systems. Training in allergens and Lvl 2 Food Safety will be given, if not already held.
