We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef de partie to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that each dish is prepared to perfection and served promptly in our restaurant environment.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipe and standards.
Ensure all food safety protocols are followed, including proper storage and handling of ingredients.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed.
Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and kitchen protocols.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar setting is preferred.
Strong understanding of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
A genuine passion for cooking and creating delicious meals.
