We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a CDP, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation and ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and measuring.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
Monitor food stock levels and assist in inventory management as needed.
Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Participate in menu planning and suggest improvements based on customer feedback.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation.
Team player with good communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
