We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef De Partie to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food production and a strong understanding of food safety practices. As a Chef De Partie, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, preparing high-quality dishes that delight our guests. This position requires excellent teamwork, leadership abilities, and a commitment to maintaining the highest culinary standards.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining quality and presentation.
Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
Assist in managing kitchen operations, including supervising junior staff and coordinating with other team members.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Participate in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
Maintain equipment and kitchen tools, ensuring they are clean and in good working order.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
Cooking to dish specifications
Plating food creatively and maximizing customer enjoyment
Formal culinary training is preferred
Requirements
Proven experience in food preparation or as a Chef De Partie in a busy restaurant environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Certifications in food safety and hygiene, and previous experience as a chef or commis chef
Excellent culinary skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to follow recipes accurately while also being creative in food presentation.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment, adaptability, and a strong knowledge of kitchen procedures and regulations
