We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to perfection and served promptly.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure food safety and hygiene practices are adhered to at all times.
Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and communicate any shortages to the kitchen manager.
Participate in the training of new kitchen staff as needed.
Experience
Previous experience in a kitchen environment is essential, with a focus on food preparation and cooking.
Culinary experience is highly desirable, particularly in a restaurant setting.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices is required.
Experience serving food in a fast-paced environment is an advantage.
