We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our dishes are prepared to the highest quality and served promptly, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and presented beautifully
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace
Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene practices at all times
Assist in meal preparation for special events or large parties as required
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and report any shortages to the head chef
Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and kitchen procedures
Requirements
Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a restaurant setting
Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on food preparation and cooking techniques
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues
