We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and cooking, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high quality.
Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including all cooking equipment and utensils.
Adhere to food safety guidelines and health regulations at all times.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to the kitchen manager.
Participate in training new kitchen staff as required.
Qualifications
Previous kitchen experience is essential; culinary experience is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and procedures.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
A team player with good communication skills.
Experience in a restaurant setting is an advantage but not mandatory.
