Job Description


We are seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to work for a highly prestigious new corporate office restaurant in the heart of Canary Wharf London.

As a Chef de Partie you must have experience working as within a similar establishment, and be comfortable with taking full ownership of your area of the kitchen. We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our dedicated catering team, who produce outstanding high end retail food & concepts, using the finest and freshest ingredients in this highly prestigious estate.

Main Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef, Head chef, Sous Chef & Junior Sous in the preparation and creation of menus.
  • Ensure the adequacy of supplies at the cooking stations
  • Prepare ingredients that should be frequently available throughout the service
  • Follow the guidance of the Executive Chef Head chef, Sous Chef & Junior Sous chef, and provide input into new ways of presenting or preparing dishes and creation of new dishes
  • To keep all work areas and surfaces clean and tidy as is practicable at all times and especially at the end of the day/shift.
  • To ensure the security of the stores during all working hours.
  • To support in preparation and assist Hospitality functions which may sometimes be outside normal working hours
  • To report any customer compliments or complaints to the Executive Chef Head Chef or Sous Chef.
  • To report any incidents, accidents, or other irregularities to the Executive Chef or Senior Sous Chef.
  • To attend meetings and training courses as may be necessary from time to time.
  • To undertake any other duties that may be required for the effective operation of the Catering establishment
  • To follow and carry out Interserve\'s food safety (HACCP), Health and safety procedures.
  • To carry out any reasonable request by management. Including overtime requests for evening and occasional weekend work to fit the business needs
Person Specification
  • Previous experience in a similar role, or 1 years\' experience as a Chef de Partie
  • 7061/2 or equivalent NVQ/SVQ preferred
  • Training undertaken in Food Safety, Health & Safety, COSHH regulations. To a minimum level 2
  • The ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure, and to run their section efficiently & Smoothly
  • The ability to work with speed and accuracy at all times
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent people and communication skills
  • HACCP experience and Food Safety controls
  • Motivated by delivering a great service, with an eye for detail
  • Knowledge of best cooking practices
  • High standard of personal hygiene
  • Passionate about food, with a creative flair. For both hospitality & retail
