We're currently looking for a talented and motivated
Chef de Partie
to join our kitchen team and play a key role in daily food preparation and service.
Job Summary:
As a
Chef de Partie
, you will be responsible for running a specific section of the kitchen (such as breakfast, salads or hot dishes) with precision and professionalism. You'll work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure each dish meets our quality standards and is delivered on time during busy service periods.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and cafe standards
Manage a designated section of the kitchen with minimal supervision
Ensure quality control, portion sizes, and presentation are consistent
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food hygiene standards (HACCP compliance)
Support the rest of the kitchen team during peak service times
Assist in stock control, inventory checks, and ordering supplies
Take part in creating daily specials and seasonal menus
Help train and mentor junior kitchen staff as needed
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or strong experience as a Commis Chef ready to step up
Passion for food and commitment to high standards
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Good understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to work shifts including weekends and holidays
Culinary qualification preferred, but not essential with relevant experience
