We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, with the ability to prepare high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high quality
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace
Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
Assist in the meal preparation process, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning ingredients
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods
Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock rotation to minimise waste
Participate in training new kitchen staff as required
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant setting
Strong understanding of culinary techniques and meal preparation methods
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices
Previous kitchen or culinary experience is highly desirable
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality dishes
