Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with an emphasis on maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our dishes are prepared efficiently and to the highest culinary standards, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment. Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain proper hygiene practices at all times. Assist in the development of new menu items and contribute creative ideas for meal preparation. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service periods. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages or needs to the kitchen manager. Participate in training new kitchen staff as required.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred. Strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal presentation. Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that delight customers. Previous experience in serving or front-of-house roles is advantageous but not mandatory.
